The Duluth Huskies game for tonight has been rained out. With rain most of today and schduled for tonight, the feild is not in any shape to play baseball.

The Huskies will make up the game the next time the two teams meet in Duluth. A double header will be played with Mankato on July 26th. This is the first rain out of the season at home, and the second for the Huskies this season. There first rain out was on the road in Thunder Bay.

The Huskies will take on St. Cloud tomorrow at Wade, then travel to St.cloud for a home and home set.



6-8-10 Duluth Huskies drop home opener.

The Duluth Huskies gave up a run in the top of the first inning on Monday night to the Mankato Moondogs. That run proved to be a enough for a Moondog win, as they went on to win the game 2-0. The Huskies had an oppertunity to
tie the game in the bottom of the first. They had runners on 1st and 3rd and no one out. The Huskies also had yet another get chance in the 2nd inning with a long shot hit by Phillip Manou, the umpire said the ball went foul as it cleared the fence.

The Huskies had four hits by the top of the 5th but, the bats where held quite the rest of the night, as they finished with 5 hits ight on the. The Huskies nwhere out hit 8-5.

Duluth Huskies starting pitcher Frank Jiulio went 51/ 2 innings allowing just one run on two hits. His second great out for a loss,he lost the opening game in Thunder Bay 1-0.

The Huskies play Mankato again tonight at 7:05 at Wade Staudium.


6-6-10 The Duluth Huskies win there first game of the season.

The Duluth Huskies picked up there first win of the season improving to 1-2 on the season well the Willmar Stingers fell to 1-2 on the season.

The Huskies had a strong pitching outing from started Ben Hughes. Hughes went just over 6 innings and only allowed 1 run and 5 hits.

The Huskies had five hits and 2 runs across by the end of the third inning, at what point they lead 2-1. The Huskies finshed with seven hits as a team. The where lead by Cody Asche. Asche went 2 for 2 at the plate well scoring a run and adding 3 RBI.

The Huskies will end there set tonight start against Willmar at 6:05. You can watch game at www.duluthhuskies.com . The Huskies have there home opener Monday night against Mankato, hope to see you at the wade.



6-4-10 Huskies have first rain out of season.

Tonight game in Thunder Bay has been postponed because of rain in the area. The game will be made up later this season. The game was suppose to be the final game in the set.

The Huskies will now travel to Willimer to take on the the newest team in the north division. After that three games set they will come home for there home opener Monday night.


6-4-10 The Duluth Huskie drop there second game of the season.

This time it looked good for the Huskies. They had a 3-1 lead at the end of 5 innings of play. Then came the top of the 6th,that is were things went wrong for Huskies starting pitcher,Conner Hulse. The first three batter got on base with singles, loading the base with no one out. Hulse was then pulled from the game but the damage already done. The Boarder Cats next batter got a double tieing the game at three. They added one more in the inning to take a 4-3 win. All four runs werecharged to Huskies starting pitcher Hulse.
The three game set ends tonight in Thunder Bay. Game time 6:35. Lets hope we can get a win up there.

The Huskies home opener is set for Monday night, they will take on the Mankato Moondogs. Hope to see you at the Wade. Head out and support the boys of summer. It is a great place to play watch a game.



6-4-10 Twins play yuckie in Seattle!!!!
The Minnesota Twins has a four game set against Seattle. The Twins only won one of the four games, and looked bad. The Twins only managed one run in each of three games out there.

Last night they lost 4-1, well Seattle ran on the Twins at bay. Seattle stold 4 bases in three innings and hit a three run home run to take there 4-1 lead by the end of three innings of play.

6-3-10 Duluth Huskies drop opener.

The Duluth Huskies traveled north to open there season. The huskies went to Thunder Bay to take on the boarder cats.

The cats got a run in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead at the of of one inning of play. Unfortantly for the Duluth Huskies that is all Thunder Bay needed. The Huskies only manged two hits the game, and lost by that 1-0 score.

By the way the Huskies will open there season June 2nd in Thunder Bay. They are returning 10 players for last seasons team.


5-7-2010 Twins have first rain out.

The Minnesota Twins have had there first rain of the season, and there first in almost 30 years. The Twins played in side from 1982 till 2009.

Today's rain out is expected to be made up tomorrow in a day/night double header.


5-6-2010 Minnesota Twins get first sweep.

The Minnesota Twins get there first sweep of the season. The sweep came at home, at Target Field. The Minnesota Twins won the three game series against the Detroit Tigers, winning game one 10-4, game two 4-3 and the final game 5-4.

The Twins have had five chances to sweep a team before this one, but could not pull the sweep off. One other note the Twins have only lost one series so far this year, that was against the tigers in Detroit a couple weeks ago. With the sweep the Twins have improved the record to 19-9 and have the third best recorded in baseball so far.
