Duluth Harbor

This attack puts many natural fish and wildlife in danger. As with most extric species that attack a lake, river, or ocean.

It is another mussel type of invader. More details on will come soon from a report to be released next week.

Here is pit from the Duluth News Tribune. You can read the whole story online at www.duluthnewstribune.com

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is expected to announce next week that quagga mussels have been found in the Twin Ports, exotic species experts confirmed. It is the first such finding on Lake Superior.

This is not a good thing for the lake. There is a bit of good news however the Zebra mussel will soon be gone, however as I said to only replaced by this one. It seems to be even worse then the Zebra.

We will have to watch and hope for the best.

Just a reminder, if you do any water attivities wash everything carefully and watch for any weeds or any mussicals may attach to your boar or other equiment.
