Interesting story.

I would love to know people's thoughts on this story. Is the school district right or wrong?

Fairly cut & dry.

When you send your kid to a public school, you tacitly accept its rules and regulations.

If the rule says no yellow shirts and your kid wears a yellow shirt, you tolerate the consequences.

Parents fault and then make it worse for kid with the publicity and all.

I would agree with you for the most part. I do however some times things schools jump the gun a little bit.

Now that said I was part of a group of people that made a code conduct for the Duluth Schools, I am very proud of that. I did this well in high school. I was one of two student reps. The student reps were there to represent the students and let me tell you. We fought hard on a couple of issues and knives were one of them.

They school district and adult members did not want up bringing butter knives to makes a sandwich. A bit odd if you ask me.
