It seems as if the Duluth Citizens Blog may shut down again. At least that is the threat by the new operator. He says if there is not contributions made to the site he can not afford to operate the blog any longer.
My question is why do they need money. It is fairly cheap to run a site, in some cases even free. Why the trouble? Is there legal action or something?
Anyone have any idea?

Also, how much time does it take to blog? How much time do you spend each with blogging? Is your time worth anything to you? Could you be doing something else like working for cash instead of blogging? Everyones time is valubale.

Don't be a MORON. I’m not out to make a “quick buck”. All money goes to the ISP for web hosting and programming. The DCB has about 8,900 unique visitor per month right now. There’s much more activity there then on a blogspot blog like this. I know as I have one, www.duluthnewstabliod.blogspot.com .

Chill out, first let me say this. I like DCB and have been there many times and posted as well. I enjoy. I know there are some that don't like the DCB however I am far from one of them. People that know me will tell you that.
I don't always agree with everyone but you can't. I also never thought you were triing to make a buck. it is just a question as to what is the money needed for?
The thing I don't understand about ANY blog that askes for money is why. These days sites are fairly cheap to run. However with an explainion I am sure I would understand. As long as you are not a rude you know what about it.
