This is an outrage. Watching this video makes me so mad.
Tasers are meant to be used for self defense. They are meant to be used as a substitute for deadly force! Clearly, the use of deadly force in this situation is unnecessary.
Cops are using tasers to make people comply. The UN has argued that tasers are a form of torture. Tasers are an excellent non-lethal substituted for deadly force but cops are using them as a form of torture. This issue needs to be addressed immediately as the number of taser related discharges is dramatically increasing each and every day.
Search YouTube for something as simple as "Police Taser" and you will find many cases of police using tasers on regular people to get them to comply with their demands. In each and every one of these cases the use of a firearm would be uncalled for yet cops have no problem pulling out and tasering their victims.
Remember,
Taser = Substitute for deadly force.
A taser is a non-lethal alternative to deadly force.

I think I agree with the idea of your comments. However it would be interesting to see the numbers of teaser use. I don't think it is being done as much as some people believe it to be. Again I agree with you in this case and I am sure many others there is no reason to use the teaser.
My point is if there was a way to look at the numbers I don't think there would be that huge. Also what cops are using them the most small town or large city's. IF there are large city's there maybe a reason or not.
