DNT online.

It sure seems like the Duluth News Tribune online is taking the Labor Day weekend off. As of Monday night the online DNT is still all Friday's stories.

Is anyone else noticing the same thing? I have been out of the loop for three days as we have been up at the  cabin. Now I can’t even get caught up again.

Thanks DNT, www.duluthnewstribune.com.

Any way I hope you all had a great weekend.

John, the DNT has laid off quite a few of their reporters and staff. I think a lot the reporters who still work there took a well deserved long weekend off. Hopefully, they didn't miss a big story, but as far I can tell they didn't.

I feel sorry for the poor person at the DNT who was stuck (hopefully, they were able to do the job from their home or from their Iphone) moderating the stupid comments that came on this holiday. I have to wonder--how stupid or completely off topic do these comments have to be in order to be rejected?

I also noticed that. It is sad that you can't on the news when you need to be. Please don't tell me to go buy the paper. It is not worth the .75.

Now I know papers have struggled for some time. It however is the failed for not making changes fast enough in changing times. This goes for all papers.

Suddude did make a great point however about the lay offs from the paper. They have made a lot of changes and not for the good.
