Duluth Tea Party.

I will be hopefully interview some one from the group. I will be in contact with them this AM by email.

I would guess they would do the interview because they want to get the work out as much as possible.

I encourage people to think of going to this event. It will be a great event against our government and there endless spending on both sides.

I get it now--this is about selling shirts.

Come on Subdude this is not about selling shirts.

It is about taking controll of our goverment and the tax system.

Of course you buy gear if you choose but this is not what it is about.

This is not an issues or being a Democrat or a Republican. It is about taking our Goverment back.

This is a protest against both republicans and democrates. We are not being listened to by either side.

John, I respectfully disagree with you--this is a republican/libertarian stunt.

Where were these people when Bush was giving tax cuts to the rich, spending like crazy on a war of choice, and racking up record deficits?

This is not the time for neo-Hooverism. If we somehow decided to stop government spending or cut spending so that we could balance the budget--the economy would completely collapse. It would make the current situation look like a picnic.

John, Obama is going to cut your taxes. How is that a bad thing?

This whole "We are going to take our country back" thing is also kind of funny. Have these tea partyers ever heard of a ballot box?

I do agree with you on one thing. I wish this event was being put together by both sides. It would send a message I really agree with. That is both sides are doing a huge dis-service to U.S.

As far as the tea party things goes. Of course they have heard of a ballot box. Events like this happen around the country all the time and they do have an affect on Goverment. Such events do work.

I don't care what you want to use as an example. Tea Party, March against a war, Stand for or against abortion.

How is spending billions of dollars or giving billions of dollars away goog? It is not. I agree Bush was a horrible president in the line of spending.

John, spending money is good because without government spending the country would go into a depression.

Why is it now so important to balance the budget? Republican presidents starting with Reagan had huge budget deficits--none of them ever had a balanced budget. It seems to me kind of hypocritical, during an economic crisis, to all of a sudden demand a smaller government.

This "tea party" won't affect policy, the tea partiers lost at the ballot box. Most of America supports President Obama's economic recovery plan.

I have issues with both sides. I would agree with you the Democrates have for a long time been spending like mad. That has been the M.O. for the past tweanty years.

I however think the republicans have been just as bad over the past eight years.

Neither side is represending the public when it comes to spending.

Subdude yes I understand the goverment needs to spend some money but this is out of this world and it needs to stop.

Is a tea party the answear maybe not. It may however be the start of something I don't know. I sure hope it is.

I will have a post later either today or tomorrow 4-6 or 4-7. Depends lots going on today.

Had a very interesting converstaion yesterday and am going to give some thoughts that came out of it.
