were do you liberals shop and what do you drink?

Well here is what I am wondering. Were do you liberals shop and what do you drink?

We all know you hate Wal -Mart with a passion you even believe that Wal-Mart pays people to say good things about them. Just so you know Wal- mart has never paid me or anyone else that I know to say good things about them. The fact is many people shop at Wal-Mart and love it, and yes they know that Wal-Mart does not pay well or have the best of benefits.

Wal-Mart stores are no different then any other discount store as far as pay or benefits. The real question is why do you hate wal-mart? Were do you shop.

What do you drink you can’t drink coke or Pepsi products. Hell Bernicks broke the union at the air port oh no. There for you can’t support them. Coke has pissed you all off. So what do you drink?

bfuentes-

I will not disagree with you on Wal-Mart taking out many businesses. Do I think it is bad and sad to see many smaller business go out because of any big box store yes.

Your K-marts and Targets have also ran many small business out of business. You just don't hear the hype that you do with wal marts.

I have much more to reply but will do that later as I have to go now.

But if you want to reply to this part please do. Of course anyone else can too.

You say you shop at Target. I will not shop there because of the way they handled the salvation army bell ringing situration.

I try to shop local business as well. My wife and I love Daughter hardware. We shop other local shops and resturants as we can as well.

We do shop cub foods because that is were we have gone for so long.

Back to wal mart I have many friends that love there job at walmart. Many have told me it is nothing like the media and some make it out to be. Now i have not worked there so I don't know first hand. I am sure it is better is some places and worse in others but you will find that at about any job.

This is a very interesting topic, I would love to have you and other commant on it.

What do you think about pepsi and coke? I know many people have issues with them.

I don't shop at Walmart for many reasons. They claimed to be selling only products made in the USA several years ago...that was found to be totally false so now they are the largest importer of goods from China. Hmmm...not only are they putting mom and pop shops out of business, but they are putting US manufacturers out of biz as well. Several clothing manufacturers as well as rubbermaid and electronics firms have had to close down whole factories because Walmart has outsourced so much of the products that they make. They are also in the midst of the largest class action suit against an employer in the history of the US. They just do not need my money. I shop at Target, as they are Minnesota based. They are nowhere near as large as Walmart and I don't see as much cheap plastic crap on their shelves as I do in Walmart. I mean...the quality of goods in a walmart store is laughable. And I can't stand all of the tacky crap all over. The ugly towels, blankets, stupid plastic tacky home "decorative" items. I do also shop mainly at local venues. Marshall hardware, Daugherty's, Green Mercantile (great cleaning supplies there, and paper goods)I buy used books at the store across from where I work, and I actually buy a lot of stuff at Salvation army and rummage sales. We Americans waste a lot, there's great bargains on clothing and household goods second hand. I don't drink pop much, we have a small child and I'm trying to keep her away from pop. We do drink minute maid juice, I think that's a coke product. You're somewhat right about all big box retailers being somewhat the same to employees, my biggest gripe with Walmart is their purchasing practices, and the fact that they are sending so many manufacturing jobs overseas. It's huge...look into it.

Kb- Thank you so much for your comments.

You make many great points. One that I do agree with you on is many years back when Wal-Mart said all of there stuff was made in the USA. Then later it came out that was not true.

I have never had a issue with the queality of products at Wal-Mart. Many things we have bought from there we have had for years.

kb- I wanted to let you know as well. Even when we disagree we can be civil. It is nice to see that some people can be this way.

d.n.h. Thank you, I truly believe that if we debate online rationally and without personal attacks, just like we might do if we were talking face to face, people might be a bit more careful about the attacks and actually learn from eachother about the issues. There are so many times that I have been personally attacked for what I say online, but I do try to rise above that and negotiate rather than agitate.
