Al Franken

Well his show went off with out trouble today at U.M.D., it appres that the show was "sold" out. However the tickets did not cost a thing.

He opened the show with Mayor Bergson. Does anyone else find it funny that the mayor could go on Al Franken's show but not show at the Decc for President Bush when he was in Duluth for his speech. Oh wait the mayor was conventionally out of town.

Mayor Bergson used the show to out line a little bit of his homeless plan for Duluth, I guess a wet house is a good idea isn't it Mayor it will give those drunks I nice warm place to drink!! What happened to the youth oh wait you only care about the ones that go to the life house. That was never more evident then today when you talked about the youth life house and how important it was for our community to have.

Franken and Mayor Bergson also then possessed to make fun of the way that Mark Winson was fired. I hope you thought it was funny mayor because I know most Duluthians did not.

Then came State senator Becky Lourey. They talked about he son getting killed in Iraq and that she and her son were both opposed to the war. The talk with Senator Lourey was all about the war, you may have thought that she would want to talk about her run for Governor but I guess she either feels like she is going to win. I hope she losses so we don't have to worry about her anymore as she has said she will not run again for her seat if she does not win the Govenors race.

Then Congressman Jim Oberstar called in and he also took pot shots at the President on the war.

All and all it was about the war and how wrong the President was, but not once did you anyone offer and other solutions. I wonder why that is? Oh that is right because the democrats don't have any. Then just want to talk and talk about how bad things are, and never let the good things that are happening out to the public.
