What a shock.

Well as I thought, there was no mention of my friends not being allowed into the Fraken show. Nothing in to day paper and nothing on any news cast.

If you want to read the papers account of the Al Frenekn show you can at http://www.duluthnews.com, or you can read mine here.

Yes, I did go to the president's speech. I wasn't allowed in because I refused to sign a piece of paper pledging my support to his cause. I don't need to sign anything to affirm how I feel about certain issues. That is no one else's business but mine.

and it is their RIGHT to protest...that's the wonderful thing about the Constitution and the first amendment...it gives people the right to speak out against things they believe to be wrong or unjust.

This country has gone to great lengths to quelch the populace's right to speak out, even to the point of convincing its own citizens such as you that whatever goes against what the government feels is right is somehow treasonous and heinous.

Theodore Roosevelt once said that
"To suggest that there shoul be no cirticism of the president, or that we are to support the president, right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile, but morally treasonous to the American public."

A question in answer to your question...have you ever been persecuted for speaking out against something you felt your government was doing that was unjust or illegal?

We all have the right to speak, think and feel the way we want. NO ONE should be persecuted or jailed or executed for what they believe.

Some of your compatriots are of the opinion that people who act out against the government should be tried for treason. I wonder sometimes if those same people ever spoke out against what Clinton was doing during his tenure in office. By their own beliefs, they too should be tried and executed for treason.

You remove the rights of any certian group of people for their beliefs in this country, you remove your own rights as well...

I find it funny how some of the people that did not get in say they had to sign something, I never had too. Why is that? They gueards had no idea if I was in support of President Bush or not.

Again you are right you can protest, but the protest should be with in means many times such groups as loves and fishes have those wackos that I talk about. They start fights and fires and do not allow people to get by if they want too. It is at least disorderly conduct.
